Gliding

If the chestplate recipe used an elytra, you can glide in it the same way you glide in a vanilla elytra: jump in the air.

Dragon, Wither, Scuffite and Potato chestplates glide. Thunderstone does not — it is crafted without an elytra.

You still look like you are wearing the chestplate. You are not wearing hidden wings.
